Dan Wang is professor of Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He received his PhD in Yamanashi University in 2001. After postdoctoral training in Kochi University, Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth and Kyoto University, successively, he was awarded by Hundred Talent Program of the CAS and joined IPE-CAS since 2004. He published over 130 peer-reviewed papers, among them, 28 papers have been published in renowned journals, such as Nat. Chem., Nat. Energy, Chem. Soc. Rev., Adv. Mater.,Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Energy Environ.Sci., Nano.Lett.,ACS Nano, etc. Current research focuses on the design and controllable synthesis of functional inorganic materials with hollow or porous structures, and their applications in lithium ion batteries, supercapacitors, solar cells, photocatalysis and drug delivery etc. He is an associate editor of Mater. Chem. Front., and also serves as the editorial board of Mater. Res. Inno., and Sci. China Mater., as well as the advisory boards of Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Sci., Adv. Mater. Interface and ChemNanoMat,. He won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2013. Honors and awards include The 1st Prize of Natural Science Award of Chinese Society of Particuology (2018), “Ten Thousand Talent Program”, Leading Scientist (2016), The 2nd Award of Science and Technology Award of Beijing Municipality (2015), Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (2014), Young and Middle-aged Leading Scientists, Engineers and Innovators (2014), Evonik Particuology Innovation Award presented in partnership with the Chinese Society of Particuology (2014).
